Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ThriftMeds website, subdomains, and related services operated by ThriftMeds. By accessing or using ThriftMeds, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the website. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when they were most recently revised.
Description of ThriftMeds
ThriftMeds is a consumer technology platform that helps Medicare beneficiaries and those assisting them:
- Compare Standalone Part D (PDP) and Medicare Advantage with Part D (MA-PD) plans
- Review educational information about Medicare coverage options
- Browse OTC product eligibility tied to selected Medicare Advantage plans
- Access retailer links for eligible OTC purchases where available
- Submit enrollment-related information when you choose to initiate enrollment
- Use support and formulary tools offered on the site
Important Medicare Disclaimers
- ThriftMeds is not affiliated with CMS, Medicare.gov, or the federal government unless explicitly stated in a separate written agreement.
- Plan comparisons are estimates based on the information you provide and data from CMS landscape files, carriers, and related sources.
- You should review official plan documents, Evidence of Coverage, and carrier materials before enrolling.
- Enrollment is subject to Medicare rules, plan sponsor requirements, and applicable enrollment periods.
- ThriftMeds does not control coverage decisions made by insurers, pharmacies, or government programs.
Plan Information
Plan information on ThriftMeds may originate from CMS, insurance carriers, data providers, and other sources. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that displayed premiums, drug costs, star ratings, or network details are complete or current.
You are responsible for verifying final plan details, including formulary coverage for your medications, preferred pharmacy participation, and provider network status, before making enrollment decisions.
Enrollment
Submitting information through ThriftMeds does not by itself complete enrollment in a Medicare plan. Enrollment depends on your eligibility, the applicable enrollment period, plan availability in your service area, and acceptance by the plan sponsor or applicable government process.
- You may need to provide additional verification or documentation
- Plan sponsors make final enrollment determinations
- Effective dates and coverage start dates are governed by Medicare rules and plan policies
- ThriftMeds may transmit information you submit to carriers or enrollment partners at your direction
OTC Store Terms
ThriftMeds may display over-the-counter (OTC) products and retailer offers associated with Medicare Advantage OTC benefits. Important limitations include:
- OTC eligibility varies by plan, benefit design, and benefit period
- Not every retailer accepts every Medicare Advantage OTC benefit
- Retailer pricing, inventory, and checkout policies are controlled by the retailer
- Clicking a retailer link may take you to a third-party website with its own terms
- ThriftMeds does not necessarily process your OTC benefit card or complete checkout on your behalf
- You should confirm eligibility with your plan administrator or retailer when needed
Affiliate and Commercial Relationships
ThriftMeds may maintain commercial relationships with retailers, carriers, technology vendors, and other partners. Where affiliate or referral links are used, we may receive compensation when you click through or complete a qualifying action on a partner site.
Affiliate relationships, where present, do not change the price you pay at a retailer unless explicitly disclosed. This section is intended to accommodate future commercial relationships without overstating current arrangements. Specific disclosures may appear near relevant links or offers where required.
Third-Party Services
ThriftMeds may integrate with or link to third-party services such as hosting providers, analytics tools, database services, pharmacy locators, and retailer checkout experiences. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
